Lucien Paiement

Lucien Paiement was a doctor, municipal politician and owner of racehorses in the Canadian province of Quebec.[1] He served as mayor of Laval from 1973 to 1981. He also operated the Semalu horse stable in Saint-André-d'Argenteuil, Quebec[1], one of whose horses was Semalu Express.[2]

He was also chairman of the board of the Cité de la santé hospital in Laval, which opened in 1978 while he was mayor.[3]

A street near the Montmorency metro station in Laval is named after him.[4]
